One of the most appealing advantages of Design/Build, is the convenience and comfort of one-stop shopping. The client looks to the Design/Build team of Barlo, Governale & Associates Architects to take full responsibility for design, construction, and satisfactory completion: that is, delivering the project on time and on budget. As a natural consequence, there is less finger pointing because as concepts are prepared, all team members are making decisions within a cooperative approach. This means greater efficiency with less confusion and duplication of effort; cooperation instead of conflict. When the team approach works well, it promotes an enjoyable and mutually beneficial way of doing projects, and our chance for misunderstanding is reduced. If it is necessary for a client to meet deadlines, Design/Build lends itself to "fast-track" building. For example, the foundation and framing can begin while finish materials are still being selected. "Fast-tracking" can reduce the Owner's financing costs as well as allowing occupation of the project at an earlier date.
